A gripping crime drama set in a totalitarian state, The Pillowman investigates a series of gruesome child murders that bear an uncanny resemblance to short stories penned by a local author. Once under interrogation, the author and the sadistic guards reveal surprising and alarming information about themselves and the crimes.

An engaging drama for mature audiences.

Are 'we' as a class ever going to see a play? That's entirely up to all of you. It may difficult to get everyone together for a Friday or Saturday night performance. But if you all want to, fine, I'm down.

You can go to any play you want on your own. Maybe you can get others from the class to go with you. I strongly recommend you all see something this semester. It will help to see something staged--especially if you don't have a theater background.

There are things happening in and out of town every weekend. And I'll let you all know. But it's up to each of you whether or not you go. You have a choice.

And yeah, I hate classrooms. I'd rather have a class in a theater. Some day, perhaps. The room in Dunbar is cell-like, but it sure beats the sauna/lecture hall over in Knauss.
